While Ray Fisher is a widely unknown talent, earlier this year he was cast as Victor Stone (Cyborg) in the upcoming DC Universe. In a recent interview with EntertainmentWeekly, Fisher gave us confirmation that he is not only set to appear in "Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice" he is also set to appear in both "Justice League" films and the "Cyborg" solo film in 2020.
"I didn't know the extent to which DC and WB had planned on taking my character," Fisher tells the outlet. "When
I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific
information, I found out then and there. I didn't think I'd be getting
my own stand-alone film... Let me tell you, man, people are in for a
hell of a treat."

When are DC going to admit "Man Of Steel 2" is a Justice League film?
It feels like since it was announced that they were making a sequel to "Man Of Steel" we ALL knew that film was destined to be a Justice League film. It feels like EVERY single week now we find out about another actor/actress being rumoured to either be a member of the Justice League or a huge DC villain.
They can keep on going on saying that the film is just a Superman sequel, but does anybody really believe it?
I personally think it will be a more character driven production than "Man Of Steel", using less CGI and more screen time will concentrate on developing characters in order for them to have their own stand alone films. We all know that a name a big as Affleck would not be given a 1 film deal, in my opinion he will have signed on for a multi-picture deal 3 or more pictures would be my guess.
I think in 2017 we might get to see a live-action version of "The Dark Knight Returns" or something of a similar arc. Where Batman is in the latter years of his career, in which we will see a much darker Batman like we are rumoured to see in "Man Of Steel 2".
Just some of the names being tossed about for the sequel are;
Jason Momoa - Martian Manhunter/Doomsday/Aquaman
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - Martian Manhunter/Green Lantern/Doomsday
Bryan Cranston - Lex Luther/James Gordon
Timothy Dalton - Alfred
Denzel Washington - Green Lantern/Lex Luther
Joaquin Phoenix - Lex Luther
Callan Mulvery - Metallo
Mark Strong - Lex Luthor

"Justice League" & "Batman" reboot rumours
We all know that Nolan's Batman trilogy ended last year, leaving behind a legacy we will never forget. Since the films ended we have all been wondering what DC are going to do next, considering Marvel are having such success since releasing "The Avengers" and its lead up films.
"As of now, the “new” cinematic Batman will most likely debut in JUSTICE LEAGUE – which is rumored to be a Summer 2015 release for Warner Bros. So what about the first, post-“Dark Knight Trilogy” solo Batman movie? My FOBOF says 2017…at the earliest." via Batman On Film
This rumour comes from a pretty credible source Batman On Film is pretty respected online, I've personally been visiting their website for a while now and enjoy it. The worst thing about this rumour is that we still have no solid information about, anything ha ha. With no actual information, we do get a little snippet of a beautiful rumour, that is Batman is set to appear in the upcoming Justice League film before he goes solo.

RUMOUR Darkseid to be JL villain
Don't jump the gun an start telling people this is a fact, this is just a RUMOUR for now. Right now the word on the Internet is that the villain for for the upcoming Justice League movie has been leaked. The rumour circulating is that Jack Kirby's creation Darkseid is set to be the main villain.
"After some persistent snooping, we have exclusively learned that the main baddie is none other than…
…DARKSEID!
Yes folks, Darkseid. The supreme monarch of the planet Apokolips and the greatest threat to the DC Universe.
It’s kind of obvious if you really think about it. I mean for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others to come together in a summer tentpole movie to face a threat, well, that threat better be planetary. Who were you expecting? Lex Luthor?"
With no Warner Bros confirmation yet, we should just treat this as the rumour that it is. Darkseid is a pretty bad ass character for people who don't know about him, plus with the recent reboot DC went through Snyder and his co will be loving this an having the opportunity to mix it up like he did with Superman i.e no over the suit boxers. Darkseid was the first ever villain that the Justice League faced together in the comics, so I can't see there being a more fitting villain or them to square up against.

Do we have a new Batman?
Unless you've been locked in a cupboard or living under a rock, you've probably seen "The Dark Knight Rises" an you will know that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character John Blake is being set up to take over Batman's duties. While this just looked like a beautiful closure to Nolan's trilogy, but now it is looking like it was a setup to the Justice League movie.
"According to sources, Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in “Justice League” as the new Batman.
Now here’s where things get interesting. The more insistent the drumbeat has become, the more poking around I’ve been doing, and it’s looking like we may see Gordon-Levitt in the suit earlier than that. They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something."
I have a few major concerns with this rumour actually, firstly Bruce Wayne is Batman not John Blake never has he been an never should he be. I don't doubt Levitt's acting ability, he is a great actor but he isn't Bruce Wayne he is John Blake, Nolan's character not a DC hero. Using Blake in the Justice League movie makes no sense at all to me, we need Bruce Wayne as Batman just as we need Clark Kent as Superman without their alter-ego's the beauty of the comics and the legacy of 70 or so years.

Ben Affleck to direct "Justice League"
It's hard to keep track of who is producing or directing a film these days in Hollywood, it feels like every week they are changing. It is beginning to get frustrating for people who run blogs like myself, never know when is the right time to post a rumour/casting. The newest rumour doing its rounds is that Warner Bros and DC are looking at actor/director to take the helm of the planned Justice League film. There answer to "The Avengers" in order to cash in on the success of Marvel's ensemble film.
"With Christopher Nolan declaring himself out of the running for Justice League, Warner Bros. are reportedly trying to pin down Ben Affleck as the director of their shrouded-in-secrecy DC’s version of The Avengers…
…Affleck previously directed The Town for the studio and has the upcoming true story film Argo; on the other hand, Warner Bros. failed in their attempt to hire director George Miller.
Since Affleck recently said he’ll only direct films in which he also stars, which means if he does sign on as director, we can expect to see him starring as well."

Game: Arkham City follow up?
I know this isn't film news, but in the proposed follow up to last years Action/Adventure video game "Arkham City" will include The Justice League in some capacity. That is the part that got me excited, there has been rumours for a couple of years now that The Justice League will be getting their own film. Could this be some sort of tie in to the film? Or, could it just be DC's way of bring The Justice League back to the main stream to build hype around a possible film? Bear in mind these are all my own speculation nothing with any truth to it.
The game is set to be a prequel to both "Arkham Asylum" and "Arkham City", and will detail Batman's first encounter with the infamous Joker. It will also be highly influenced by the "Silver Age" comic books, to the less nerdy among the readers that is roughly the 50's through the late 60's.
I will also add, if you haven't played either of the previous games go out an buy them NOW. They are two of the greatest video games of all time in my personal opinion, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed with them.
