When I read Frank Darabont was hired to write the script for the "Godzilla" reboot I was kinda excited the dude has a great filmography behind him "The Walking Dead", "The Green Mile" & "The Shawshank Redemption" to name a few. The plan since the last film has been to make it more serious, here is what Darabont had to say about the film.
“What I found very interesting about Godzilla is that he started off
definitely as a metaphor for Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And some of the
atom bomb testing we were doing in the South Pacific in the subsequent
years. The giant terrifying force of nature that comes and stomps the
shit out of your city, that was Godzilla. Filtered through the very
fanciful imaginations of the Japanese perception. And then he became
Clifford the Big Red Dog in the subsequent films. He became the mascot
of Japan, he became the protector of Japan. Another big ugly monster
would show up and he would fight that monster to protect Japan. Which I
never really quite understood, the shift.
What we’re trying to do with the new movie is not have it camp, not
have it be campy. We’re kind of taking a cool new look at it. But with a
lot of tradition in the first film. We want this to be a terrifying
force of nature. And what was really cool, for me, is there was a very
compelling human drama that I got to weave into it. It’s not that
cliched, thinly disguised romance or bromance, or whatever. It’s
different, it’s a different set of circumstances than you’re used to
seeing. And that’s tremendously exciting as a writer when you’re asked
to do something else."
Production is set to begin this March, with Gareth Edwards the genius behind 2010's "Monsters" directing, the cast is still being put together but there is some big names being thrown around. Names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Scoot McNairy and Caleb Landry Jones are being touted for the lead role after Joseph Gordon-Levitt turned it down at the end of last year.

Do we have a new Batman?
Unless you've been locked in a cupboard or living under a rock, you've probably seen "The Dark Knight Rises" an you will know that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character John Blake is being set up to take over Batman's duties. While this just looked like a beautiful closure to Nolan's trilogy, but now it is looking like it was a setup to the Justice League movie.
"According to sources, Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in “Justice League” as the new Batman.
Now here’s where things get interesting. The more insistent the drumbeat has become, the more poking around I’ve been doing, and it’s looking like we may see Gordon-Levitt in the suit earlier than that. They’re a long way from filming anything “Justice League” related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something."
I have a few major concerns with this rumour actually, firstly Bruce Wayne is Batman not John Blake never has he been an never should he be. I don't doubt Levitt's acting ability, he is a great actor but he isn't Bruce Wayne he is John Blake, Nolan's character not a DC hero. Using Blake in the Justice League movie makes no sense at all to me, we need Bruce Wayne as Batman just as we need Clark Kent as Superman without their alter-ego's the beauty of the comics and the legacy of 70 or so years.

Joseph Grordon-Levitt talks "Dark Knight Rises" ending
!!!SPOILER HEAVY!!!
I'm gonna start with saying, DO NOT ignore the header above if you HAVE NOT seen "The Dark Knight Rises" leave the page NOW!
Back to the business, Joseph was recently on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" were he was asked about the ending of the film by Kimmel himself.
I love how he totally geeks out when he kind of admits to being Robin, it just shows the geek inside him an shows he loves what hes doing. I kinda agree with him saying that this does not mean there will be a sequel, but in my heart I'm hoping that they do a Robin/Nightwing spin off. Would be bad ass!

First official photo of Daniel Day-Lewis an Honest Abe
Steven Spielberg has been pounding the films in the past year or two, but this is one is looking like it will go down in history as one of the greats. I mean it does already have one of our generations greatest Actors Daniel Day-Lewis. Now we have the first official photo of Mr.Day-Lewis in his Lincoln attire, I think Day-Lewis looks amazing he looks just like what I imagine Abraham Licoln would look like in colour pictures. So it has one of the best actors of all time in the lead, with possibly the greatest director/producer of all time at the helm with one of my favourite current actors Joseph Gordon-Levitt supporting as Lincoln's oldest son.

"Looper" poster
"Looper" looks to be a great movie, kind of like "Time Cop" but with a twist. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis are playing the same character which in itself sounds crazy. I've starred at this poster for a good 10 minutes straight an can not seem to work anything out, if you can see anything of significance drop a comment. I'm guessing the "ball" object with wires is going to be the time travelling machine, other than that I've got nothing.

"The Dark Knight Rises" overload
Looks like over my 2-3 week hiatus, I missed a lot of "The Dark Knight Rises" information a lot of them are pictures. So here it goes, expect some cool stuff in this post. With this amount of media release you wouldn't think that there was still a few months until the film releases.

"The Dark Knight Rises" new trailer
While this trailer is pretty bad ass, I still can't get re-excited over this film. Christian Bale's acting overall is abysmal, I tried watching "American Psycho" not so long ago and turned it off after 30 minutes. Even his acting in this trailer is pretty bad the "This isn't a car" line actually made me cringe. This trailer is more story driven an seems to be building towards the big fight between Batman an Bane.
You can really see the big scenes that Nolan has put his signature on, the whole bridge exploding was incredible guessing it will look even more incredible in IMAX. The use of Catwoman (Hathaway) is looking like more than just a foe, it seems like they could explore a romantic storyline between the Bat an the Cat.

"Looper" poster
We recently got a poster for the upcoming Rian Johnson Sci-Fi/Action "Looper", not to long ago we got a look at Joseph Gordon-Levitt's altered appearance to make him look more Bruce Willisy. Now we have a poster of how both of them are going to look in to film.
