In a recent interview with MTV, James Gunn spoke about how "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" will NOT pave the way for the upcoming "Avenger: Infinity War Part I & II". Check out what he had to say;
"I don’t feel beholden to that stuff at all," Gunn said. "I
think it's really about the Guardians and what they are doing. We're
not subservient to the Avengers. 'Guardians 2' is not a movie that's
made to move toward 'Infinity War.' It's something that's made to move
toward future cosmic movies, so I don't feel that that is something that
affects me that much."
Gunn told Sky Movies that he and Marvel had "talked about all sorts of possibilities for a crossover," and that he knew "what the basic plan is... it could always change at any minute."
"That could or could not include a couple of Avengers and a
couple of Guardians meeting up, or all of the Avengers and all of the
Guardians," he added during the July interview. "But, we do inhabit the same universe and they're pretty big personalities that are likely to, at some point or another, run into each other."

"The Avengers 3" rumours
For the past couple of years Marvel executives and film makers alike have spoke about how The Avengers line up should be changed to keep it fresh, with "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron" releasing next year it looks like Mr Marvel himself Joss Whedon has took that to heart with the addition of Paul Bettany as The Vision, Arron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch.
If ever growing rumours are to be believed then it looks like when it comes to Phase 3 and The Avengers 3 we could be getting some new additions the story comes from Badass Digest who are reporting that Marvel may hold back Thor, Captain America and Black Widow in order to keep them for another film resulting in them not needing to renegotiate contracts.
With Robert Downey renegotiating his contract last year, in order for himself to have a starring role in the second and third Avengers films. So it is kind of safe to say that if Marvel were to hold back aforementioned characters then Stark would be left behind in a sense to rebuild a new set of Avengers, here are some of the characters I think would be a good addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

5 actresses who could take over as Thor
You may or may not have heard, but Marvel have took the shocking approach of replacing Thor in comics with a now female version. I know it is far to early to even speculate on a female Thor replacing Chris Hemsworths Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While it may be early, that's not to say that it would not be fun as heck to speculate.
Marvel Editor-In-Chief Alex Alonso did say in the interview regarding the change of gender "This really is the one Thor for an extended period of time for which we have no real exit plan" with Time. So it is easily within the realm of possibility that Chris could be replaced in the future, rumour has it he has three movies left on his contract one being "Avenger: Age Of Ultron" and obviously "Thor 3" could his third remaining movie be the end of Hemsworths Thor? As we said it's in the realm of possibilities. Here are five actresses I think could take over live action Thor if the opportunity arose for them, the order they are down in are not in a best to worst or anything. They're just the five I chose.
Jamie Alexander - Alex Alonso "one of the women in Thor's life picks up the hammer. She is in fact worthy. and she becomes Thor" So the first person that should come to mind is Sif, played by the incredibly beautiful and talented Jamie Alexander. People may argue Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman may be suitable, but for me neither Norse looking nor does she have the height.
Ronda Rousey - Ronda may not be know to you, and to be honest I had never heard of her until she was cast in "The Expendables 3". She is a 27 year old UFC fighter who according to fans I have spoken to could hold her own against most men in her division. While Thor isn't know for his hand-to-hand combat he most certainly does encounter some none Moljnir related fights as will his female counterpart. We will just have to see over the coming years how her acting holds up against her ass kicking skills.
Gina Carano - Gina also has the same sort of credentials that Rousey comes with, expect for the fact we have seen Carano act on a few occasions. I really enjoyed her in "Fast & Furious 6" and "Haywire" she isn't the best of actresses, however she is enjoyable to watch. So given her little bit more experience with the acting world she may be a slightly better choice than her fellow UFC fighter.
Kate Beckinsale - The extremely talented Mrs Beckinsale known by us all for undeniable beauty and her role in the Blockbuster franchise Underworld. She sure has heck has the acting ability and she can certainly hold a film if female Thor was to go solo, just look at Selene in Underworld.
Katee Sackhoff - Who doesn't want Sackhoff to take over a lead Action star? I know I do, for years there has been talk of her taking the lead in an Action movie. In more recent years she is being touted for the lead in "The Expendables" female spin-off "Expendabelles". So she already has the hype in this Action world, she can command the attention of the audience when she is on screen like a Norse God would.

Evangeline Lilly in early talks for "Ant-Man"
Reports are surfacing that Evangeline Lilly is in early talks for an unspecified role in Marvels "Ant-Man", the movie will kick off Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lilly is yet another actress (if added) that will join an already experienced cast unlike some previous Marvel movies. She will be joining Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michael Pena.
Director Edgar Wright, is known for the Romance aspects of his films and it looks like this one will not be any different from his previous works.
I personally know NOTHING about the Ant-Man world, I didn't even know he was a character until the movie was announced in 2012 that the film was close to being put into production. So when it was announced earlier that Evangeline Lilly was up for a role I decided to look at what other people were saying she could/should do in the movie. A LOT of the fans out there are saying she should play "Wasp", who is a human just like her co-lead Scott Lang played by Paul Rudd. So she is essentially a female Ant-Man? But a wasp? Man, Marvel is FULL of crazy stuff!

Vin Diesel talks 'Merging of Brands' for Marvel Phase 3
Vin himself has been talking a lot lately on his Facebook about working with Marvel, a project he and they are hoping to launch in 2016. He said that these talks lead to him being cast as Groot in the upcoming "Guardians Of The Galaxy".
Diesel says he and Marvel are still discussing the role for the mystery 2016 Phase 3 film .
"When I met with Marvel it wasn’t for anything immediate, it was to talk about a film that would be introduced in the Phase 3 part of Marvel, not for a few years. You wouldn’t be able to see it for a few years. In my mind, Marvel were doing it right, they were enrolling me at the ground level which is the best way to enroll me."
"I get the call, I go down to Marvel. A great meeting. It was even talking about something so big I can’t even talk about because it’s like the merging of brands in a way, which I won’t get into. That was something way, way, way, way, way down the road."
"We had agreed not to say anything about the specifics of the meeting. So, now I’ve got the fans who I love more than I love the industry, than I love everybody… I was thinking “I’ve got to be real with them, I’ve got to tell them something” and yet I want to be respectful of people’s process and if people like to do a slow reveal, you know?""
"Quite frankly, it would have been too much to say and it might have been anticlimactic to say 'We’re working on something for 2016' and so I just said 'You’re going to hear some really big news' and I left at the end of that and it went crazy."
"The next Monday, Marvel talks to me and says “We’re going to send something over in two weeks. We want to focus on the 2016 but we also want to, if possible, answer this growing request for something now.” I don’t have six months to play a character in the immediate future, it’s all booked… there was no way I was going to be able to deliver… after Comic-Con, we were at a stalemate…"
