Dave Batista joins Bond 24?

Roughly two months ago it was reported that James Bond 24 may be going old school, in the sense that they will be looking for a very physical commanding presence to play a henchman in the same way in which the late, great Richard Kiel played Jaws.

Turns out, new Marvel recruit Dave Bautista has been given the job to play henchman to the big boss in the upcoming Bond film.

Lea Seydoux boards James Bond 24

According to reports French actress Lea Seydoux has signed on to play the femme fatale in the 24th instalment of the James Bond franchise. According to said reports, Seydoux is set to begin doing her table reads next month with giving her time to get into character before filming starts this December.

Already on board the project are Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw with Sam Mendes returning to direct.

Sam Mendes will return...

Says James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, according to reports just last month Sam Mendes had turned down returning for another James Bond film. Speaking recently Broccoli said that she and producer Michael G. Wilson aren't going to let "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes leave so easily.

“We will get him back," she says. "We haven’t given up hope... Maybe not for the next one… but we will get him back again.”

“We are working on him," Wilson adds. "We hope that maybe he will have gotten inspired to come back.”

Mendes himself admits that, while he's unlikely to helm the 24th EON Production, he's tentatively interested in a future franchise entry.

“Bond movies, they need someone working on it now," Mendes himself explains. "...I’m doing my theatre projects and then I’ll work out... I’ve definitely left the door open though... I’ve never really repeated myself, done the same type of movie one after the other, so just give me a chance to think about what I actually want to say."

The return of the DB5

James Bond is known for many things, the women, the gadgets, the guns and the cars. He has always had a cool car in every film, this film is not looking any different in fact it's looking extremely familiar as Skyfall is set to feature the Aston Martin DB5. The filmmakers have released a little behind the scenes video with this incredible vehicle.

Everybody, meet Q!

Anybody who has ever seen a James Bond movie knows the famous Q from 20 of the previous 22 Bond films. Q hasn't made an appearance yet in the Daniel Craig era of Bond, but that is all about to change this October. The actor playing Q is called Ben Whishaw, don't worry if you have never heard of him this is the first time I've came across his name. A couple of years ago he was in the cinematic flop "The Tempest" other than that he has made appearances in "Layer Cake", "Brideheads Revisited" and "Bright Star".

This trailer has helped re-store my faith in the Bond franchise, there was a rumour late last year/early this year that they might be scrapping a lot of action from the movie in order to go for an Oscar. By the looks of this trailer, that is simply not true, Bond is back!

There has not been enough released for "Skyfall" I believe, but we finally have a poster for the upcoming instalment in the Bond franchise. I'm excited for the new Bond film, but I really do wish that they would hire a new actor to play him I don't believe Craig is the right man for the job.

Daniel Craig was pictured filming scenes from the upcoming instalment in the Bond franchise, the scenes are being filmed as part of James going back to his ancestral lodge. The Hollywood star was accompanied on set by the legendary Judi Dench who portrays M in the film.
