"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" final trailer

As a lot of you guys might know, I have very little to no interest in Marc Webbs Spidey creations. However the film is getting massive hype an you guys seem to be loving it, so here is the final trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".

Marc Webb reveals B.J Novaks "Amazing Spider-Man 2" character!

With MUCH speculation surrounding the role of B J Novak in the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", director himself Marc Webb has revealed on Twitter that Novak will be playing none other that Alistair Smythe in the sequel. Check out his bio on Wiki if you don't know who he is, his family have a HUGE part in the Spidey world.

Today Sony Pictures gave us the trailer for their upcoming Spider-Man film "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", which has MANY Easter Eggs and teasers! Check out the trailer below, then after that check the breakdown video below that.

Just a heads up, pause the Official Trailer at 2:08 do them clothes look familiar? If you ask me, they look A LOT like the clothes Gwen dies in within the comic.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" gets a title change...

Well in Brazil that is, there are reports suggesting that in Brazil the movie will now be title "The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise Of Electro". It has been reported that Sony were looking at adding a subtitle to the movie, looks like they have for their Brazilian market.

Some people might not know this but movies across the world sometimes have different titles for different markets, i.e "Die Hard: Live Free or Die Hard" in the US which over here in the UK is called "Die Hard 4.0".

Does anybody else think that the word "rise" is kind of played out in movies these days? Especially considering that we more than likely will not see Electro in any more films within this franchise, they could have gone with much cooler title like "The Amazing Spider-Man: Enter Electro" in homage to the PS1 game.

Paul Giamatti talks Rhino

Pictures of Paul Giamatti on the set and in his Pre-CG suit, have surfaced online in the recent weeks, to give us an idea of what the character could potentially look like on the big screen. However, it's quite different from how the character looked in the original comics.

"In the comic books of old, he had this suit on that made him look like a rhinoceros, and it made him super strong," he said in an interview with The Toronto Sun. "If there was a bank vault he would just run right through it. Butt through it with his head. And he was not very smart."

Giamatti goes on to tease that his suit in the film will be slightly updated. "And I have a particular kind of suit, but I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it. He's a Russian mobster. Russians are always good villains. I have an ability to just destroy things. My accent is pretty hammy. I loved doing it. it seemed to me like an opportunity to be as over-the-top hammy as possible. It was really fun."

He went on to tease that he plays "One of several bad guys in the movie."

Here we have another little gem brought to us from Comic-Con, this time around we have a trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". I really didn't enjoy the first one at all, this one looks pretty bad ass but they still do have to many villains.

Stan Lee films his "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" cameo

We know that WE ALL love our Stan Lee cameos in Marvel films, my personal favourite is either Hugh Hefner or not Larry King from the Iron Man films they were hilarious. I am extremely looking forward to his cameo in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", below we have a few pictures of him filming his scene. Don't worry there are no spoilers included in these pictures. We finally get to see Paul Giamatti as The Rhino, Giamatti plays Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich aka The Rhino in the sequel and it appears they're making some changes from his appearance in the comic books.

Spideys new costume is pretty sweet

Spideys new costume is pretty good, was expecting it to be good after we seen Marc Webb tease with the big eyes. Now we get a good look at what the costume looks like, I will say one thing though an after I say it you will not be able to look anywhere else. But holy heck look at that cup!

Jamie Foxx as Electro

Jamie Foxx has been recording his scenes as Electro for the upcoming Spider-Man film "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in New York recently. We can now see how he will look in the film, be warned it may not be what you are expecting, not even remotely. I for one never knew there was a blue Electro and didn't know what to expect after Foxx teased that he would not be donning the familiar green and yellow.
These photos confirm some rumours that we will see the "ultimate" version of Electro. I also have a bit of bad news for you guys, he looks like Don Cheadle from Captain Planet ha ha.

Looks like Spidey is off to Ravencroft

What is Ravencroft you might ask, well to put it simple it is Marvels version of the Arkham Asylum. A big bad super prison that houses the criminally insane, does this mean we get to see Rhino break out of a maximum security prison? That, I would love to see.

I wrote off the first "The Amazing Spider-Man" before it even came out, an it is safe to say I was right to in my own opinion. However as the weeks go on an we find out little snippets of information about the second instalment and the teasers that Marc Webb is giving us. I'm finding myself drawn more and more towards this film, maybe it is the Marvel lover inside of me, but the film has got my Spidey senses tingling.

Marc Webb loves showing off sneak peaks of his upcoming film, now we have a picture of what Spidey is going to look like in the upcoming film. I didn't really like the last costume, this new costume does seem to look pretty good though. The costume on the last one was pretty crappy you could tell that Webb was just trying to distance himself from Raimi's attempt.

You guys and girls need to follow him on Twitter, him like fellow Marvel Director Bryan Singer love Tweeting us lovely pictures. The picture shows two actors dressed as FBI Agents, which leaves us here at Chris Movie Corner a little stumped, are the FBI after Spidey? Are they looking into Oscorp? Looks like we will have to wait and see, but I would rather see S.H.I.E.L.D Agents than FBI Agents damn you Sony owning Spider-Man!

Marc Webb teaser for "Amazing Spider-Man 2"

So this is our 500th post, can't believe we made it this far. I for sure thought that we would have given up after a few weeks or months, but 500 posts an over a year later we are still here. An with our 500th post, we bring you...

Marc Webb you little tease, he finally starts to use Twitter an he gives us something like this? What a hero this man is! The picture is apparently part of what te newSpider-Man costume will look like, but if you ask me I think it may be Venom or a Symbiote. There has been rumours for weeks now that Venom is going to feature in the film, so does this picture confirm that Venom is actually going to be in this film?

Should they include Venom in this film though? We already have Rhino and Electro, does having 3 villains sound like a good plan? In "Spider-Man 3" we had Venom, Sandman & Green Goblin an that film was patheticly bad, far too many characters an such little film time. So with Rhino & Electro confirmed lets settle there.

Paul Giamatti in talks to play The Rhino?

Reports are suggesting that actor Paul Giamatti is in talks to star in the sequel to "The Amazing Spider-Man" as The Rhino, Rhino was one of my favourite villains growing up. He was some super genius trying to take over the world or trying to kill heroes he was just a man in a super suit just robbing banks or being a general dick ha. If Giamatti does get the job, which I don't see why he wouldn't that means 2 huge villains for the upcoming film. Is that a good idea? For me I'm not it will be a good idea the are 2 big villains from the Spider-Man universe an will take a lot of screen time an that may take away from any character development. Especially considering Emma Stone and others want the story arc "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" to be incorporated into the film.

The two would join a cast that includes Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone reprising their roles as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy along with Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley and Dane DeHaan. Giamatti will play the role of “the Rhino” and it is unknown at this time what role Jones would be playing."

Sony planning "Jumanji" reboot?

The Hollywood Reporter has posted an interview with Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrand in which he reveals some interesting snippets about what the studio is going to be working on in the foreseeable future.

He was asked if Marc Webb would would be returning to "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel, Belgrad said it's not a done deal "We'd really like him back, but there are obstacles. He has an obligation to Fox. [Webb owes Fox a post-(500) Days of Summer film.]"

Regarding a sequel to the highly successful "21 Jump Street", Belgrad said "Yes, we plan to start shooting in the fall. There are very few actors -- I'm going to quote Amy -- who can do romance, action and comedy. We're in business with two of them, Channing Tatum and Will Smith."


After mention Will Smith the interviewer went on to ask whether or not there would be another "Men In Black" due to the success of the third, Belgrad said "We're very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done,"

He then dropped a huge surprise that nobody seen coming, the studio are looking to reboot "Jumanji" which was directed by Joe Johnston ("Captain America") "We're going to try and re-imagine Jumanji and update it for the present."

I haven't made it a secret that I didn't think the new Spider-Man film was going to be all that good, also the costume looks pretty sucky but it could have been much worse judging by the recent pictures released. I mean look at some of the concept art, thank God they were left as concept an nothing more.

Sony have just released the second full trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man", as you've seen in the past I have slated this film and wasn't looking forward to it. After seeing this new trailer though, I've completely changed my opinion on the film I can't wait to see the only thing I don't like about is the shiny goggles, why are they shiny?
