Ed Helms set to star in "Naked Gun" reboot?

Paramount Pictures have today picked Ed Helms to star in the reboot of "The Naked Gun" comedy films. The film is set to be written by frequent collaborators Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant best known got the "Reno 911!" franchise.

I didn't want to post this, but there is a lot of you fans out there. So here it is a new red band trailer for "The Hangover Part III". I never thought there would be two Hangover films never mind three, but I guess money talks. The second film fell way short of the impact the first one had, but they are promising that the third will give us an unforgettable conclusion to the franchise.

Are Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo making vacation plans?

Reports are telling us that Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are in talks to reprise their roles of Clark and Ellen Griswold in the upcoming reboot of the Vacation franchise. They would be joining Ed Helms and Christina Applegate if other reports are to be believed.
As the original film did in 1983 the reboot will follow the misadventures of the Griswold family as they head to Walley World.

I realise this poster has been out for a little while now, I just find it hard to post anything "The Hangover Part III" related. The second film did everything it possible could to destroy what could have been a good franchise, and this film will not bring the franchise back to life. The new poster shows how the gang are returning to Vegas, really? Wow, that's original!

The Griswalds are returning to Wally World?

We finally have a snippet of synopsis from the upcoming instalment/reboot in the "Vacation" franchise. Plus, who doesn't love a bit of Ed Helms when he isn't starring in the abominations known as "The Hangover Part II" and "The Hangover Part III", he will be a great fit for Rusty here's hoping that we get to see Chevy Chase return as Clark Griswald.
According to Crave Online;

"It’s another road trip back to Wally World,” Daley said. “He realized that his original trip to Wally World brought the family, the Griswold family, closer together and he kind of chose to forget about the horrible moments along the way and decides that what his family needs is some bonding time and wants to take them back on the road again. Safe to say the road to Wally World has not gotten any easier.”

Going back to the destination of the original Vacation is both reassuring, and risky. The writers felt there was new ground to be mined from returning to Wally World. “I think it was always part of our intention,” Goldstein said. “We felt like in continuing a franchise like this, there’s a certain amount of homage you have to pay to the original but we also wanted to make this very much its own movie that can stand on its own. So we chose our favorite elements from the original and then used that as a springboard. I think people have an affection for the whole Wally World component of the story.”

Rusty’s family vacation couldn’t play the same beats if it wanted to, because Daley and Goldstein changed his family dynamic. “As opposed to going along with the same family structure as the first one with a brother and sister, now Rusty and his wife Debbie have two boys with their own very unique dynamic,” Daley said."

Todd Phillips shares "Hangover 3" pictures

I'm not even going to go into what I think about this movie, I will just say NO! With the pictures there was a small synopsis released;
"This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off."

Ken Jeong signs for a bigger role

Ken Jeong has signed on for a bigger role in the upcoming Comedy "The Hangover Part III", he will have a major part in the film according to director Todd Phillips.

"Sources say Mr. Chow will play a larger role in the third installment, though Warners is keeping the plot under wraps. Jeong is working out dates to avoid conflicts with his NBC/Sony series Community. The show begins shooting in August and overlaps slightly with Hangover III's planned fall shoot."

He will be re-teaming up with Ed Helms, Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifinakis for the May, 2013 release. 

Ed Helms to play Rusty Griswold

Back in March, I blogged about Ed Helms possibly starring in "Family Vacation". Looks like this rumour is set to come true, reports are saying that Helms is currently in negotiations with New Line Cinema for the role. Other reports are suggesting that "Horrible Bosses" writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will direct the film from the script they have apparently alreay penned. Filming is set to start after Ed Helms finishes work on "The Hangover III" and "The Office US".

"The Hangover 3" returning to Vegas?

The original "Hangover" (the only good one) was a huge hit cinematically and critically, an managed to secure as the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time.

"“The Hangover” stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, along with Las Vegas resident Mike Tyson, will be filming the third installment of their box-office smash series here. Just like the first film, scenes will be shot for “The Hangover, Part 3” on and off the Strip and at Caesars Palace.
 Director Todd Phillips reportedly will shoot much of the new — and final — episode in Tijuana and L.A. Vegas DeLuxe has already reported that the storyline will find the boys rescuing their troubled friend from a mental hospital."

I personally think this is a really bad idea, the second instalment in the film was so lazy it was essentially a remake of the first but in a different country. An come on the whole "mental hospital" part of the film already sounds pathetic an stupid, I for one personally will not be spending my time or money on this junk.

Ed Helms could star in "Family Vacation"

There been talks of the Vacation films being remade for months if not years now, I first watched the "original" Vacation films the past few months that's "Family Vacation", "European Vacation", "Christmas Vacation" and "Vegas Vacation" I highly recommend you guys/girls check them out, anyway back to the news. It is rumoured that John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldsteing (two of the writers behind the hit comedy "Horrible Bosses"), the film is set to be based on Clark Griswold's son's Rusty's as an adult, with him taking his family on vacation.
I'm not gonna say I'm 100% behind the idea of a remake, but with Ed Helms possibly leading the I'm highly intrigued to see if it goes forward. I am also guessing that we will hear many more names over the coming weeks or months knowing the way Hollywood goes names like Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman ha ha. I would also love to see Chevy Chase himself make a few cameos that would be great.

Oh the joy of another "Hangover" film, I personally haven't got over the last film. What an absolute embarrassment of a film that turned out to be! There has been a few rumours circulating of what the film might entail since the second instalment was released, now we now that there is definitely a third instalment we can expect more rumours in the upcoming weeks and months.
"Dealmaking on the studio’s third instalment in the raunchy comedy franchise is wrapping up after dragging on for months due in part to the salary demands of its three stars. Sources close to the negotiations say Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are asking for $15 million each (against backend) to reprise their roles, and they now are likely to get it. That’s a big raise from 2009’s The Hangover, which was made for about $35 million and paid the headliners under $1 million each. When the R-rated bachelor-party comedy unexpectedly grossed $467 million worldwide, the studio found itself without talent deals for a sequel. Negotiations were heated for The Hangover Part II, released last May, with the three principals each scoring around $5 million, according to a source, plus back-end compensation that raised their haul into the mid-teens (and counting) when the movie grossed $581 million worldwide."
$15 million, $15 million wage? What the hell is Hollywood coming to? $45 million on three actors wages is horrifying considering the only good "Hangover" instalment cost $35 million to make. Oh how I wish that Hollywood made films for fans and not for money.
