We have our Fantastic Four, an it is not what you'd expect

So when I make this next comment people usually hurl abuse at me, but I actually enjoyed the 2005 release of "Fantastic Four" I know it was more aimed at the child market however I still thought it was a fun watch. Plus how can you go wrong with Jessica Alba really? ha.

Anyway, back to the more pressing news. Finally we have some casting for Josh Tranks upcoming reboot of one of the more favoured superhero teams from Marvel. Trank burst onto the scene when he made the unforgettable "Chronicle" in 2012. It looks like this time around he is also using the same traits that he used when casting "Chronicle", he has gone for a younger looking cast. I still stand by my Fancast I made last year, here is Tranks cast;

Michael B Jordan is Johnny Storm aka Human Torch.

Kate Mara is Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman.

Miles Teller is Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic.

Jamie Bell is Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Yes, Billy Elliot is The Thing!!!

Trailer for "Fruitvale Station"

I am not normally a fan of these films, you know the ones that are made based on the real life events of something horrific just to pull on the heartstrings of the audience. They always seem like these films are made in order for the writer/producer/director to get their name in the limelight. After watching this trailer though I do like the looks of it, Michael B. Jordan looks pretty great in the role of the late Oscar Grant III. Check the trailer out below.

Here is a trailer for "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox", before you get all excited this IS ANIMATED. The film also has a pretty bad ass cast, Justin Chambers as Flash, Michael B. Jordan as Cyborg, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Ron Perlman as Deathstroke and KEVIN CONROY as Batman. Just check out that trailer, you'll love it! At least I did! Gotta love a good animated film, especially DC made ones.

Michael B. Jordan talks Fantastic Four role

A rumour popped up a few weeks back that "Chronicle" star Michael B. Jordan was being looked at for the role of Johnny Storm, The Human Torch in Josh Tranks upcoming reboot of "Fantastic Four". The internet nearly exploded with excitement with this nugget of information which led Mr. Jordan to talk about the role.

"That's not real yet," Jordan said in an interview with The Huffington Post.
 
"Everyone knows we're good friends. It's something that if it happened I would be ecstatic," Jordan also told USA Today "giving a big wink." "I'd love to be a part of it."
 
"Things change and time goes on, it's 2013 right now," he said. "The characteristics of the Human Torch are his name is Johnny Storm, he's charismatic, and he's a playboy. That's it. You know what I'm saying? That's all there is."

There are very few details about the film yet, all we really know is that Trank is directing a script written by Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Green and Jeremy Slater. We have also heard that "Girls" star Allison Williams is being offered an unspecified role that many believe is Sue Storm AKA The Invisible Woman. Production on the film is set to begin in the coming months with a slated release date of March, 2015.

Twentieth Century Fox have released a new clip for the upcoming Independent Sci-Fi "Chronicle", the new clip seems to show off how an when the three lads gain their powers.

At yesterday's 20th Century Fox's press conference they gave a sneak peak of their upcoming film "Chronicle". This film gives a dark spin on "superpowers acquired" formula used many times before, also using the very popular "found footage" method.

"A complete write-up of the day's events, including some commentary from Trank himself, is forthcoming. What I will say is that the footage was incredibly impressive. Chronicle was shot on a low budget, however, Trank, along with writer Max Landis, aspired for something with scope as they tell their tale of three high schoolers who develop telekinesis and the one loner who abuses his new found power."
