Let me start this by saying sorry, sorry to whoever I hurt or offended which resulted in me watching this film. I must have done something down the line to be cursed with this! I guess this is an indication of where this review it set to go...

The cast of this film on the surface is a wonderful ensemble that would entice even the most cynical Rom-Com watcher like myself to take interest, however they were all beyond below average. I mean this is Jake Gyllenhaal one of the current best actors who comes across like he is winging every line, all the cast felt like they didn't know the script it was all just guess work. Which is beyond surprising considering I am a huge fan of the majority of them, in this film though there was zero chemistry and zero development of these people you were meant to relate to.

Onto the story a pretty boring one at that, none relatable characters, unbelievable events and a down right lack of Comedy. How this is considered a "comedy" I will never know, I smirked once, maybe twice it was a horribly written script everything said and done felt unnatural, the jokes just didn't land and the entire premise of the story was ridiculous. Which comes at as a shock because the writing team have turned out some good films and television shows in recent years, this just comes across as an attempt to not try at all. There was one scene in which Jake Gyllenhaal's character Howard is trying to escape a telling off by jumping out of a ground floor window, I felt like jumping out the second story window of my house at this point!

The production of films is something I am yet to touch on in such a way in a review, however I can't help but think that the production of this film had a huge hand in making this film the mashed together piece of crap it turned out to be. There is countless stories of the production being shut down for many reasons including the lead actors walking off set on more than one occasion. Even resulting in director David O. Russell abandoning production after two years of set backs, pardon the language but the entire production turned into one big cluster fuck of incidents. Which leads me to believe resulted in the poorly cut together film, jumping from scene to scene without and fluidity to it, as WATW? said "Scenes chop and change making Accidental Love feel like a jigsaw puzzle that was put together in the dark."

Overall, this film was abysmal, horrible, horrific ALL of the negative superlatives you could imagine and that is about 0.01% of how close you are. This film genuinely may be the worst film I have ever seen in my life time and that is saying something after 15 years and over 3,000 films seen. There was zero redeeming factors for this film for me, it is very easy to see why David O. Russell turned suit and ran the other way. Do NOT fall for Mr Russell's name on the poster this is nothing like he has done in recent years. If you don't want to take my word for it check out What About The Twinkie? or RT Write-Ups reviews of the film or any film fan reviewing site, I imagine they will all come to a similar conclusion.

"Uncharted" director expects 2015 filming

Sony have been talking about a potential Uncharted movie for a few years now, and over the time is has had a couple of directors signed on to do it but ultimately stepped away from the project David O Russell and Neil Burger. Now they have a new director at the helm Seth Gorgon the man behind "Horrible Bosses" and "Identity Thief" not the strongest foundations to build my hope for this Video Game adaptation I must say.

In a recent interview with Zap2it, Gordon explained that he doesn't expect the movie to start shooting until "very early" in 2015.

Who would you like to see play the globe trotting adventurer Nathan Drake? My personal choice since I played the game when it first released was Nathan Fillion, and I find it even hard to speculate about another dude playing Drake.

"American Hustle" review!

I was a little apprehensive going into "American Hustle" I wasn't on board with the whole David O. Russell bandwagon I remember "Three Kings" being an enjoyable watch other than that his films don't stick with me. With the exception of "Silver Linings Playbook" which I haven't gotten around to watching.

Let me just get this out the way I am sick to death of films claiming to be "true stories"this cliché has been played out since the 70's, please stop!

Yeah so as I said I went into this film a little apprehensive expecting the film to have over-hyped it due to the success of "Silver Linings Playbook". Boy was I wrong the film was a great as people say the casting left a bit to be desired I personally think Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale and Amy Adams are awful actors on the other hand Robert DeNiro, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence are on top of their game.

Bale plays flabby, balding con man Irving Rosenfeld one half a of the cunning double act with Adams' character Sydney Prosser a smart talking ex-stripper with an awful English accent making up the other half. Both of whom are making a decent living from an investment scam they have going on, enough to enjoy like an support Irvings beautifully crazy wife Rosalyn played by Lawrence who spends her days looking gorgeous, spying on her husband and setting the kitchen on fire, yes more than once ha.

Their work however takes a very bad twist when overly ambitious FBI agent Richie Di Maso forces them to work with him for his complex undercover plan. An investigation into the corruption involving Carmen Polito New Jersey Mayor played by Renner who is a newcomer to the ever growing Russell contingent he has been creating.

 Needless to say Di Maso uses his FBI pull to pull off one of the more elaborate plans you are likely to see based in a 70s movie. Irving not being comfortable framing his new politician friend Carmine after realising he is really a decent family guy. Like Irving the audience isn't really wanting Carmines downfall which in itself is the major downfall of the film because we are left with no true "movie villain" like you would expect in such a film.

The only really menacing person in the whole film is when De Niro makes his "cameo" as the Florida mobster's right hand man whom the FBI are hoping to get their hands on. In this one and only scene we see of De Niro we are given the most tense scene of the whole film when he comes within seconds of ripping the Keffiyeh (I hope that is right) off of Michael Peñas head.

The attempt at a love triangle with Cooper, Adams and Bale was wasn't very enticing it got to the point where I truly didn't really care who ended up with whom. I just kind of felt sorry for Lawrences character who is such a lovable bimbo.

Overall the film was a lot better than I had expected, I personally do not think it is Oscar worthy like some people are saying I can see this years Oscars mostly going to "12 Years A Slave". However, for fans of the actors and or fans of the era the film is a great watch and I highly recommend that you check it out but do not expect an emotional roller coaster like Russell given with "Silver Linings Playbook".
