"Paranormal Activity 4" confirmed for 2012

Unfortunately during a recent press release Paramount Pictures have officially confirmed "Paranormal Activity 4" is planned for release later this year.

"In 2012, Paramount’s release slate highlights include ‘World War Z,’ a zombie thriller starring Brad Pitt and directed by Marc Forster, ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ the next instalment in the global franchise starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Channing Tatum, a new chapter in the ‘Paranormal Activity’ franchise, and ‘The Dictator,’ starring Sacha Baron Cohen and directed by Larry Charles, the team behind ‘Borat.’"

This confirmation came as part of Paramount's press release announcing that they had earned a record $5.17 billion worldwide (roughly £3.3 billion in UK). With "Paranormal Activity 3" definitely helping towards that total with it's earning of $202.9 million worldwide. We all expected there was going to be another "Paranormal Activity" due to the success and popularity of the previous 3 but now it is officially confirmed that it is set to release later this year.
