"Justice League" & "Batman" reboot rumours

We all know that Nolan's Batman trilogy ended last year, leaving behind a legacy we will never forget. Since the films ended we have all been wondering what DC are going to do next, considering Marvel are having such success since releasing "The Avengers" and its lead up films.

"As of now, the “new” cinematic Batman will most likely debut in JUSTICE LEAGUE – which is rumored to be a Summer 2015 release for Warner Bros. So what about the first, post-“Dark Knight Trilogy” solo Batman movie? My FOBOF says 2017…at the earliest." via Batman On Film

This rumour comes from a pretty credible source Batman On Film is pretty respected online, I've personally been visiting their website for a while now and enjoy it. The worst thing about this rumour is that we still have no solid information about, anything ha ha. With no actual information, we do get a little snippet of a beautiful rumour, that is Batman is set to appear in the upcoming Justice League film before he goes solo.

Christopher Nolan's next film is...

Interstellar, seen as the Academy has completely snubbed Nolan an his Batman film this year so lets move onto what he's doing next. Let's put aside all this Superman/Justice League talk for a bit, we all know that Nolan kicks ass when it comes to original stories.

I mean look at how epic he done when it came too "Inception" that made like £800+ million, which wasn't to different to his earnings on the Batman movies. Plus it's looking likely that he is going back into Sci-Fi with a film written by his brother Jonathan Nolan.

"The story involves time travel and alternate dimensions and sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech…

…The script for Interstellar was written by Jonathan Nolan, Chris’ brother, who worked on The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight, as well as Prestige."

I was looking around on some forums, and I actually seen a number of people saying stuff along the lines of "its about time Nolan moved into Sci-Fi, it will test him as a director". Have they not been watching his films, 4 of his 5 past films have been Sci-Fi to some extent are these people nuts?

New "Batman"?

After seeing all the new posters and banners in my last post, it got me thinking. This is set to be the last Batman film in the Nolan franchise which means that there will be no more Christian Bale, Yayyyy! So yeah, it got me to thinking, who could be the next Batman? Names like Keanu Reeves, Chris Pine, Michael Fassbender, Jake Gyllenhall, Jon Hamm, Mark Wahlberg, Scott Adkins, Jim Caviezel, Sam Worthington and many more. These are by no means actual facts nor rumours, they are just actors/actresses I would like to see each character if they were used in the reboot. I've gone for mostly physical looks, but also acting ability too. I'd love to get a discussion going in the comments section on what you guys/girls think of my choices if they are good, they suck, who you would use, if you would even use the characters, what characters could be used instead.

My top choices for Batman in the reboot would be; Keanu Reeves, Chris Pine, Scott Adkins, Jon Hamm and Jim Caviezel.
Batman - Keanu Reeves?
I've personally thought he should be Batman for years, the only negative is that he is a little bit old now (47 at time of post). But, he does have a mass amount of positives in my opinion, he has a back ground in martial arts due to playing Neo in "The Matrix Trilogy" plus his upcoming role as a 47 Ronin Samurai, he has played the dark sinister protagonist in "Constantine" where he also had a deep husky voice. For these reasons I personally think he should be the next Batman.

Alfred - Sir Ian McKellen?
Robin/Nightwing - Shia LaBeouf?
Catwoman/Selina Kyle - Kate Beckinsale?

Dr. Hugo Strange - Hugo Weaving?

Cluemaster - Guy Pearce?

Ra's Al Ghul - Viggo Mortensen?

Victor Zsasz - Ben Foster?

Killer Croc - Ving Rhames?

Riddler - David Tennant?

Mr. Freeze - Ron Perlman?

Harley Quinn - Kristen Bell? (Would have been Britanny Murphy without a doubt R.I.P)

 Joker - Michael Massee?
