Amber Stevens joins "22 Jump Street"

The beautiful Amber Stevens has been cast in the upcoming Action/Comedy "22 Jump Street", she is said to be playing the love interest of Schmidt played by Jonah Hills love interest. Which means poor Jenko (Tatum) still doesn't have a love interest, yet ha.

I've seen a few people complaining about the fact that they are going back to College? I personally think this will be great for the characters they can be more free than they could around children i.e High Schoolers, College kids make a better target.

"22 Jump Street" update

Most of the fans of Tatum, Cube and Hill will more than likely already know that these guys are back for the sequel, now we have official confirmation these 3 are back for the film due out next Summer. Here is an extract from the interview with directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord;

“[The undercover program] moves across the street,” Lord said. “They got more money for the Jump Street program, and they could have an even cooler office with flat screens. It’s a different abandoned church, across the street from the first abandoned church, but way nicer. Jenko and Schmidt are going to college, and we’re delving deeper into their relationship. As the first one was them getting together, this is their marriage.”

One big talking point coming out of the first movie was, of course, Depp’s surprise cameo at the end, and for “22 Jump Street,” the directors say you should expect a comparable surprise. “We’re certainly exploring options, trying to figure out what would be as fun as that,” Lord said. “It’s awesome to have in your hip pocket this amazing surprise, so we’re hoping to find a way, whether it’s some amazing casting thing or some cool story surprise. We’re trying to make it feel as fresh as the first one.”

Sony planning "Jumanji" reboot?

The Hollywood Reporter has posted an interview with Columbia Pictures President Doug Belgrand in which he reveals some interesting snippets about what the studio is going to be working on in the foreseeable future.

He was asked if Marc Webb would would be returning to "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel, Belgrad said it's not a done deal "We'd really like him back, but there are obstacles. He has an obligation to Fox. [Webb owes Fox a post-(500) Days of Summer film.]"

Regarding a sequel to the highly successful "21 Jump Street", Belgrad said "Yes, we plan to start shooting in the fall. There are very few actors -- I'm going to quote Amy -- who can do romance, action and comedy. We're in business with two of them, Channing Tatum and Will Smith."

After mention Will Smith the interviewer went on to ask whether or not there would be another "Men In Black" due to the success of the third, Belgrad said "We're very pleased with the financial performance of Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We're going to do [another one], but we don't have clarity yet on how it should be done,"

He then dropped a huge surprise that nobody seen coming, the studio are looking to reboot "Jumanji" which was directed by Joe Johnston ("Captain America") "We're going to try and re-imagine Jumanji and update it for the present."

"21 Jump Street" official poster

This new poster for "21 Jump Street" is pretty cool showing off Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum touting some gun play. This film in my eyes looks pretty hilarious, will give the audience a good few laughs, but I'm guessing the original fans of the show from the 80's which was more crime/police procedural I believe.
