Meet "The Goosebumps" monsters!

So here we are 1,000th post, and is there a more befitting piece to talk about than a piece that took over my childhood nearly completely. I watched the episodes continuously on Jetix (I believe), so when the film was announced my inner Horror loving child was excited. Check out the monsters from the film below.

Jack Black talks "Goosebumps" and first official pictures

Entertainment  Weekly have recently released the first official pictures from the upcoming Goosebumps adaptation which will star Jack Black, along with the pictures Jack had a few words to say about the upcoming movie.

"I play R.L. Stine, who’s not in any of the books, but he’s an essential character in this movie," Black tells the outlet. "Which is all about when all of his characters come to life. It was kind of a great way to bring out all of the scary beasts and monsters from all of his books in one movie."

He also spoke about age-appropriate scares from the books and adapting them to the big screen.

"Kids like scary movies, but you can’t take them to what are the big scary movies now where Satan comes out and bites your genitals off. Those movies can actually leave you mentally scared; that’s not for kids. But kids still like to get a little thrill and a little danger, so you need projects like this."

"Goosebumps" feature film has a director?

Last year we found out that Darren Lemke had been hired to bring the iconic TV Series to the big screen, now it looks like the film has took another huge leap forward in bringing in Rob Letterman at the helm.

Deadline are reporting that Letterman is close to signing a deal with Sony Pictures, previously, he has worked on "Shark Tale" and "Monsters Vs Aliens". As it stands we have no information on whether or not the film will be based on one of R.L. Stines original books or just take pace within the Goosebumps universe.
