Neill Blomkamp's "Chappie" begings filming

Sony have begun production in Johannesburg, South Africa on their upcoming film "Chappie" the newest film from relatively new comer writer/director Neill Blomkamp. Blomkamp will be at the helm of movie in which he wrote along with his wife Terri Tatchell.

"After being kidnapped by two criminals during birth, Chappie becomes the adopted son in a strange and dysfunctional family. Chappie is preternaturally gifted, one of a kind, a prodigy. He also happens to be a robot."

Rumours are also circulating that Science Fiction favourite Sigourney Weaver has joined the movie, fingers crossed it is true.
