"Taken" getting a sequel

Cinematic blockbuster "Taken" is getting a sequel, for some reason unknown to me this film was and still is absolutely huge. I've never been a fan of Liam Neeson so that is probably why the thought of another "Taken" film annoys me a bit. Not much information has been released about the movie besides that Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace and Famke Jansenn will reprise their roles an Luke Grimes is cast in an unknown role. According to IMDB the plot is,
"In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter."
