"Buffy" reboot hits development trouble

Just over a year ago Warner Bros. and Atlas Entertainment announced that had hired a writer for the "Buffy" reboot for the bit screen.

The writer they hired was called Whit Anderson (yeah, I agree who the heck is that?), she has acted in one film an two shorts so why she was hired to write the reboot baffles me. Sources say that Anderson produced a script in the summer, but the script was quickly rejected.

Which has forced the project to come to a stand still, while the next steps are carefully planned out. The production companies are struggling to sign a new writer so the film might get scrapped, which I personally hope it does happen. There is only one "Buffy" an that is Sarah Michelle Gellar an nobody should ever write a script for a new "Buffy" reboot. Unless that is Joss Whedon who has expressed outrage when the reboot was announced.
